Sitting and staring at the big blue sea,

Just watching the turbulent waves roll by.

Waiting, been waiting, many years for ye,

‘Til one sunny day, something caught me eye.

It was ye, in all yer former glory,

In a small rowboat, to see me once more.

Hopped off the barrel, me heart jumped with glee,

Sprinted with haste to meet ye at the shore.

Arms around ye, I longed for yer embrace,

Seems ye didn’t forget me after all.

Same ol’ smile, but barnacles on yer face.

Same ol’ bright azure eyes that made me fall.

‘Twas too good to be true, ye had to go.

“He beckons,” said ye, yer head hanging low.
