I spent every day of me time with ye,

Here on the rocky shores of Tortuga.

Yer flaxen locks, with eyes blue as the sea

That shimmered as we watched the beluga.

Right when I met ye, entranced from the start

Yer words be beautiful, yer smile so bright,

With swiftness ye captured a sailor’s heart.

For once in me life, I could see the light.

I still remember that ill-fated day,

As that wretched, foul ship rose from the sea.

The wicked Davy Jones took ye away

Ye said, “I’ll come back. Please don’t forget me.”

With a despondent wave, I watched ye go

My love, I shall wait for ye in sorrow.
