Thar be an event comin' soon to our waters. Aye, that be right. It be the Open Beta comin' on the 19th, as ye all know. Just so happens that also be the day we pirates love to celebrate... International Talk Like A Pirate Day! Well, word be that the TLOPO n’ Pirates Forums crews came together to host a joint contest to celebrate the beginin' of Open Beta and International Talk Like A Pirate Day all for ye scallywags! It be yer chance to create somethin' to be added to the game!
Yer job will be to create a NEW SpeedChat phrase that will be added to TLOPO. Aye, ye heard me right! Create a new SpeedChat phrase and each of the 5 lucky winners will get his or her phrase added to the SpeedChat system in the game.
All of ye who participate will receive a badge to be displayed near yer name in forums posts, as well as on yer wall; winning lads or lasses will be receiving a special badge!
Here be the catch... All entries will have to follow these here guidelines to be considered for selection (any phrases not abiding by these guidelines may be removed from the thread at Pirates Forums moderators' discretion):
1. Must be piratey (it be Talk Like A Pirate Day celebration after all)
2. Abide by the Terms of Service of Pirates Forums
3. Abide by the Terms of Service of The Legend of Pirates Online
4. 65 characters maximum, including spaces
5. Only one submission per user.
TLOPO accounts that have serious and/or repeat offenses are disqualified from the SpeedChat contest, but will still receive a participating badge for the forums.

The contest will be runnin' from the 12th through the 18th, closing at midday (11:59am EDT) on the 18th. Ye can enter here on this thread.
